Homeowners in Charlotte may qualify for attic insulation rebates through Duke Energy when specific requirements are met. These rebates are designed to encourage energy‑efficient home improvements that reduce overall energy consumption.

To qualify for a Duke Energy attic insulation rebate:

• The house must have a minimum of 1,000 square feet of air‑conditioned space
• The home must be a single‑family residence, duplex, townhome, or condominium
• The homeowner must be a Duke Energy residential electric customer
• Attic insulation must be improved from R‑19 or less to a minimum of R‑30
• The home must show an air leakage improvement of at least 5%
• Rebates are paid for qualifying completed improvements after all required documentation is submitted and approved. Invoice must be paid for rebate submittal.
• Approved rebates are typically processed within 60 days of the service date for work completed after October 1, 2017
