Allan Hoppe

Founder

Allan Hoppe, Charlotte native, has been an owner of ABS Insulating since 1991 when he and his partner opened the doors. Allan is a very important member of the ABS team.

Allan graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in 1978. After graduating he traveled to Boone, NC where he received his B.S. in Marketing/Management from Appalachian State University. During college Allan spent his summer breaks and holiday vacations installing both batt and blown insulation. This experience gave Allan the opportunity to learn a great deal about the insulation industry.

For nine years Allan was employed at Carolina Insulating. His career path started in sales and moved into a management position. It was at Carolina Insulating where he met his friend and business partner, Steve Carter.

Allan is the backbone of ABS Insulating’s success.

Danny Allen

Danny is the Regional and Branch Manager of ABS Insulating. He is a highly driven professional with extensive experience in Operations and Sales Management. Danny has 27 plus years of experience in the construction industry and is an engaging leader with a background in developing team members to maximize their skills and talents. Danny is excited to be part of the ABS Insulating team.

Danny is a graduate of East Carolina University. He is married and has two sons. He enjoys coaching his son’s sports teams and being involved in their various activities.

Lisa Hill

Assistant Branch Manager, Charlotte

Lisa serves as the Assistant Branch Manager at our Charlotte location, bringing a diverse and well-rounded background in multifamily property management and commercial development. Her professional experience also includes time in the airline industry, where she developed a strong customer-focused mindset and gathered plenty of memorable stories along the way.

With expertise in human resources, accounts payable, and office operations, Lisa plays an integral role in supporting team success and ensuring day-to-day efficiency.

A Union County resident for more than twenty years, Lisa made North Carolina home following her family’s military journey. She is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and has also volunteered with the U.S. Army Family Readiness Group, supporting the families of soldiers during deployment.

Jesse Bunnell

PRODUCTION MANAGER

Jesse is the Production Manager for ABS. He has been employed with ABS since 2001 and handles all of the production work for the insulation and gutter divisions. Jesse works closely with the office staff as well as the sales team to ensure that all orders are handled properly. Jesse lives in Monroe, NC and enjoys racing and playing golf.

Cheryl Harrison

Cheryl is an Office Assistant at our Charlotte location. Cheryl hails from a small town in southeastern Ohio. She and her son moved to the Charlotte area in 1988 and have called it home ever since. Cheryl and her husband Paul have a combined five children, several grandchildren and even has great grandchildren. They love spending time with family, many of whom live nearby.

When they aren’t spending time with family, Cheryl and her husband love to cook and share their love of good food with everybody. They make a great team – Cheryl bakes and Paul cooks! They enjoy travel and regularly visit Europe.

Jon Pedrick

Jon brings to ABS Insulating over 20+ years of combined experience in insulation and general construction. At age 14 Jon began working in construction, spending summers renovating homes in New Jersey along the Cape May County coastline. He attended Johnson State College in Northern Vermont where he was a member of the downhill ski racing team. After college Jon worked in the telecommunications industry as a sales and channel manager. In 2005 he and his wife started their own remodeling and renovations company with a focus on energy efficiency and passive energy.

Jon is active in coaching baseball and softball, from the early skills development through college recruiting. Jon and his wife Barbara have four children.

Angela Tetrick

Angela has been with ABS since 2021.  She was born and raised in Union County.  She has been married to Dave for over 20 years, and she has a son and two stepdaughters. She also has two grandsons that keep her busy and entertained.   

She loves spending time with her family and has a close group of friends that she is always up for fun with! On her off time, she loves shopping, decorating, making wreaths and loves a good trip to the beach always!

Whitney Campbell

Whitney brings over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in both the electrical and HVAC fields. Her hands-on industry knowledge and practical approach allow her to support projects with efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to getting the job.

A lifelong resident of the area, Whitney has deep roots in the community she serves. Her familiarity with the region and dedication to her work make her a dependable and valued member of the team.

Outside of work, Whitney is deeply committed to serving others. She is actively involved in her church and volunteers extensively within her community. She also helped launch a senior meal program that provides individual meals to seniors living alone, supporting those who need it most.

Whitney is a proud mother of two and enjoys traveling with her children and her mother, making lasting memories along the way. Around the office, she likes to joke that she might just be the team’s “personality hire,” bringing energy and a sense of humor to the workplace.

Keith Ayers

Keith Ayers is part of the ABS sales team. A North Carolina native, Keith has worked in the construction industry since 2005 where he gained extensive project estimating, sales and customer service experience. Keith has vast knowledge of both insulation and gutters, allowing him to serve customers in both areas. Before joining the ABS Insulating family, Keith managed a large construction supply company where worked closely with the ABS Insulating team. Keith is an avid outdoors man and enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.

Mark Moore, a native of Durham, North Carolina, has been with the ABS Sales Team since April, 2016. Mark has been in the construction field for 25 plus years in a variety of disciplines. All of his years in construction have allowed him to understand how the insulating and guttering processes are critical in the role of how a home or business works efficiently and effectively.

Mark is the father to his daughter, Hunter. He was active with her by coaching her soccer team when she was younger and enjoys showing her the great outdoors.

Justin has been part of the ABS Insulating sales team since February of 2014. He enjoys working with new people on a day-to-day basis and growing his customer service skills. Justin enjoys the diversity of his job and how unique each project is, allowing him to learn new skills each day.

When he’s not busy out in the field or at the office, you can find Justin on the golf course or rooting on one of Charlotte’s professional sports teams. He and his wife, Ashley, and their two daughters reside in Union County.

Steve Carter

Steve Carter, a native of Union County, was an owner of ABS Insulating since he helped open the doors of the company in 1991. Steve was very hands-on in the industry and came from a list of great field experiences.

Steve attended Central Piedmont Community College and graduated with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering. He had been involved in new home construction in and around Charlotte since 1975. He worked at McClure Lumber and gained experience in the sales field as a building supplies salesman. He accepted a position at Carolina Insulation and worked there for 10 years before deciding to start his own company. It was at Carolina Insulation where he met friend and business partner Allan Hoppe. Steve has attended the Dale Carnegie sales seminars and Anderson Window School. Steve attended Sun Valley High School and married his high school sweetheart, Kathy.

Steve was very involved with the business and the day-to-day activities. He focused on sales and production and was responsible for maintaining relationships with many of the larger clientele of ABS Insulating.

Steve loved to travel. Depending on the season, you could often find Steve enjoying a long weekend at his mountain or beach house.
